For any brides reading this article … ‘videotaping’ is not a new trend, nor should it be viewed as an ‘added expense’. ‘Wedding Cinema’ is the new trend (as opposed to videography) and there are only a handful of companies in Australia who are currently doing it really well.

This seems like a very biased piece about who advertises with the knot. How did you decide these were the best? There is a new breed of wedding filmmakers that are not on this list that have been awarded by their peers at a national level consistently over the last four years. I have been researching for my wedding as a very experienced corporate photographer and my fiancé is a top TV editor. We agree with your comments re Untitled and Papercranes but feel you need to include DNM films, no limit pictures and Moving Presentations. These three along with untitled and Papercranes are the best quality Australia has to offer. All of their films are beautiful, have a real story and are filmed in a stunning way. These people are cinematographers not videographers. Perhaps articles explaining what a cinematographer is might help couples understand the difference between those on the list here and those on my list.

This is hands down the best wedding video Ive ever seen, its got like 300,000 views on youtube and when you watch it you’d almost swear it was a movie and even has celebrity guest appearances by Macklemore and Spanky from the little rascals.
