Trying to pick your wedding song? There are so many awesome wedding-worthy tunes to pick from, so where to start? How about with some celeb inspiration! Yep, if you’ve ever wondered what a famous muso’s wedding playlist looks like, you’re in luck – we’ve rounded up the songs reportedly played at Cam and Benji’s big day. Take a listen below!
1. “Stardust” by Nat King Cole
Cameron walked down the aisle to this slow and sultry throwback. We love this non-traditional pick for the bridal processional!
2. “Easy” by Lionel Richie
As the father of Benji’s twin brother’s wife, Nicole Richie, Lionel is family now. So it makes total sense that he did a one-song performance on the piano. (One a side note: the choice of song is a tad questionable – with lyrics like “Girl I’m leaving you tomorrow,” and “I wanna be free, just me, babe,” this slow jam isn’t super wedding-appropriate!). Details aside, it would be pretty amazing having Lionel Richie is playing live just for you!
3. “Happy” by Pharrell Williams
This just proves that even A-list celebs like Cameron and Benji aren’t immune to popular hits. “Happy” is just one of those songs that makes everyone want to get up and dance.
4. “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj
If you’re planning to take the party late into the night like Cam and Benji, then dance hits like “Bang Bang” are a must.
5. “When The Stars Go Blue” by Ryan Adams
According to reports, Ryan Adams did a special serenade for the couple on his guitar. While there’s no word on which songs he played, we think his song “When the Stars Go Blue” is the perfect wedding-worthy tune to set the tone for a romantic affair.
6. “We Found Love” by Rihanna and Calvin Harris
Both Cameron and Benji have been surrounded by individual engagement rumours for years, until they were finally set up together by Nicole Richie – and got engaged just a few months after they first started dating. It’s possible this song speaks to the couple’s whirlwind romance (oh, and it’s super fun to dance to!).
7. “Treasure” by Bruno Mars
It’s no surprise this jam was on the list — it was one of the top wedding songs of 2014! This just proves it’s a song with serious staying power.
