The 9 Hottest Celebrity Wedding Dresses Of 2014

They're pretty much professional gown-wearers, so it makes sense to look to the famous people for dress inspo.

When it comes to picking your wedding dress, there’s nothing like getting a little fash-spo from the realm of the rich and famous (even if you don’t have the guts to pull off all of their choices!). From trending two pieces and a pink (yes, pink) dress to three bridal looks in one day (guess which bride!), we were seriously wowed this year when it came to celebrity wedding dresses. Check out our nine unforgettable faves from 2014:

1. Olivia Palermo
Style icon Olivia Palermo gave Carrie Bradshaw a serious run for her money when she married model Johannes Huebl in a gorgeous Carolina Herrera wedding dress ensemble, consisting of a cream-colored cashmere sweater, white shorts and a tulle skirt overlay with floral details. And as for her shoes? Carrie’s signature cobalt blue Manolo Blahnik heels, of course.

2. Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting’s New Year’s Eve wedding to Ryan Sweeting was old and bright — just like her wedding dress! The Big Bang Theory actress wowed guests with a custom-made candy-pink Vera Wang tulle ball gown. Talk about the princess look!

3. Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian walked the runway (er, aisle) at her wedding to Kanye West in an amazing Givenchy wedding dress. Kim chose to have her BFF, Riccardo Tisci — the creative director of Givenchy — design her couture white lace gown with sheer paneling and cutouts (he designed Kanye’s wedding tuxedo too).

4. Angelina Jolie
This one got mixed reviews, but we have to say it is truly a unique work of art. And only Angelina Jolie could get away with wearing a wedding dress that’s equal parts crayon and couture! Donatella Versace designed her dreamy custom satin gown, while Luigi Massi, Atelier Versace’s head tailor, made it. Colourful drawings created by Ange and Brad Pitt‘s six children were featured on the gown and veil, making it a true family affair.

5. Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson looked the royal bride in her sparkly custom champagne and gold Carolina Herrera wedding dress when she married boyfriend Eric Johnson. “The whole dress is embroidered in gold and feels very regal,” Carolina said.

6. Amal Alamuddin
Amal Alamuddin‘s wedding dress was the last one that the late legend Oscar de la Renta designed for a celebrity. George Clooney’s now-wife wore a divine off-the-shoulder custom ivory French lace gown with hand-embroidered with pearls and diamante stones sewn in.

“It’s the most important dress in the life of a woman,” Oscar said. “Any girl from any walk of life dreams of that special dress, and I try to make that dream a reality for her.”

7. Solange Knowles
Solange’s took the cake on her wedding day, managing a marathon wardrobe-change effort to sport a total of three fashion-forward jumpsuits with capes and two amazing wedding dresses (five looks in all!). And it’s seriously hard to choose a favourite – but we think our top contender is the low-cut ivory Stephane Rolland jumpsuit with attached cape she wore while cycling up to the church alongside fiancé Alan!

8. Ashley Tisdale
Actress Ashley Tisdale worked rustic and bohemian styles for her stunning bridal look, pairing a green and white flower crown with a classic cap-sleeved ball gown. Check it out – her husband Christopher French couldn’t take his eyes off of her!

9. Lauren Conrad
LC helped design her two-tone Chantilly and Alençon lace custom Badgley Mischka Couture ceremony gown, which was covered in crystals, pearls and baby glass beads. And don’t forget about the stunning view from the back — her wedding dress had a 10-foot train!
