Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney know how to party, that’s for sure! Just a month after the couple wed in the most lavish ceremony that Venice, Italy, has ever seen, Amal and George celebrated their marriage again at a posh party thrown by Amal’s parents, Baria and Ramzi Alamuddin, in England. The party was held at the Danesfield House Hotel and Spa in Buckinghamshire, close to where the famous couple enjoyed a staycation honeymoon at their brand new Berkshire home.
And while the newlyweds’ first wedding had a star-studded guest list, their 200 post-wedding party attendees weren’t too shabby either. CNN’s Hala Gorani, former Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri, several government ministers and ambassadors from various Middle Eastern countries and Amal’s colleagues from her Doughty Street Chambers firm all came, plus family members and friends from Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, according to People.
“George was very nice, absolutely adorable,” their source reports. “Amal looked incredible and they seem very, very much in love. George went from table to table to meet everyone and at more than one table, when he noticed glasses were empty, he got a bottle and poured wine into everyone’s glasses.”
“It was a very sympathique soiree,” another guest states.”Very polished and a little more low-key than you thought it might be.”
The family celebration might have been low-key, but top human rights lawyer Amal continued to show off the wardrobe of our dreams; this time wearing a lovely gold metallic dress and berry lipstick, with her hair down in waves.
And on the menu at the Tudor-style hotel? To start, foie gras or smoked salmon, a roasted filet of beef, sea bass or a risotto for the main course and mousse au chocolat or a strawberry tart for dessert. Signature his-and-hers cocktails were also available.
