Yesterday marked the  65-year-anniversary of marriage for Queen Elizabeth II and Philip Mountbatten. This is the first time a British monarch has hit this milestone! The couple spent the big anniversary day together privately at Buckingham Palace where on their big day they waved to the crowds.

The ceremony at Westminster Abbey had 2,000 guests attend — similar in size to the guest list for Will and Kate’s 2011 nuptials.

The bride looked radiant in  an ivory silk Norman Hartnell gown, embellished with 10,000 seed pearls, glittering crystals, an intricate four-meter star-patterned train and of course, a tiara!
