Bride-Worthy Hairstyle We Love From MBFFS

Bridal hair inspo straight from the runway.

We’re swooning over this classic, feminine hairstyle sported by models on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2014. This side-parted low pony is perfect for a low-maintenance, pretty-as-can be bridal look! Want to keep your hair tied back on your big day? We got the lowdown on how to re-create this style from Redken hair director Paloma Rose Garcia, who oversaw the hair for the Australian Style show. Read on for more bridal hair inspiration and her top tips!

“The ponytail I created for the opening show at MBFFS 2014 is classic with a playful, modern edge,” says Paloma. Want your hairstylist to create a similar look for your wedding day? Paloma suggests following these steps:

Step 1: Apply a volumising to the roots to create lift and texture, then blow dry using a soft bristle brush.
Step 2: Gather hair at the nape to create a ponytail and tie off with a small black elastic.
Step 3: Backcomb hair at the crown with a soft bristle brush and tie into the ponytail.
Step 4: Create a deep side part and place front sections into the ponytail.
Step 5: Conceal elastic with hair and blow dry to set.

Tell us, Knotties, are you planning to wear your hair up for your wedding?
