Kim Murray cheers Andy to victory as he secures his place in the Wimbledon quarter finals in front of A-list fans including Pippa Middleton and Poldark’s Esmerelda
Kim Murray continues to be a winner in the style stakes as her husband moves a step closer to becoming Wimbledon champion for the second time.
The 28-year-old wore a navy patterned dress from British fashion brand Burberry as she cheered Andy onto victory in his fourth round match on Centre Court.
The Brit beat Australian Nick Kyrgios in straight sets 7-5, 6-1, 6-4 to progress to quarter finals.
Kim’s long-sleeved silk-chiffon mini dress costs £495 and the mother-of-one teamed the designer dress with a high end accessory – a £850 tote bag from Aspinal of London which she has had on her arm throughout the tennis tournament.
Kim clapped and cheered as Andy took the first set 7-5 in a close fought battle. He then ran away with the second set, 6-1, and sealed victory with a 6-4 final set.
The Brit now moves on to the quarter finals, as his hopes of winning Wimbledon for the second time were boosted on Saturday by world number one Novak Djokovic’s shock defeat.
Other A listers cheering Andy on were Poldark actress Eleanor Tomlinson, the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton and Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas.
Loyal Kim is famed for her vocal encouragement during her husband’s matches and pumped her fist and roared ‘come on!’ as the World number two won crucial points.
Kim is a regular at Andy’s Wimbledon matches and in previous years has stepped out in High Street outfits from stores including Topshop and Zara.
But this year her wardrobe has gone up a notch, last week she wore a £313 Kate Spade dress for Andy’s opening match.
On that occasion, the artist was seen pushing their daughter in a Silver Cross pushchair before leaving her with a family babysitter so she could follow Andy’s game.
When she has gone for a High Street look, she has also kept it more high end, with a £325 silk blue flower gown from L.K. Bennett her wardrobe choice for Andy’s second round match last week.
As well as becoming a mother this year, Kim has also become a published author – albeit via her dog Maggie May.
The border terrier had a guide called How To Look After Your Human published by Frances Lincoln Children’s Books last month, with proceeds being donated to an animal welfare charity.
Kim joked that the new tome is ‘the first book a dog has ever asked her to type up’, as it gives witty observations on the habits of dog owners that followers of Maggie May’s Twitter account will be accustomed to.
